Brooke's Profile

Name: Brooke Taylor

College/University: University of Central Missouri (UCM)

Organizations Involved In: Beta Alpha Psi (BAP), External VP and Publicity Committee Chair; Accounting Students Association (ASA), President

Accounting Field of Interest: Audit

Reason for Nomination: Brooke was nominated by professors at UCM for her outstanding academic and social achievements. She has been on the Dean's List every semester, and is active in two accounting associations. Dr. Janice Klimek stated, "Brooke is very personable, organized, and without question a person we can count on to complete a task. For example, as Vice President of BAP, her role is to ensure professionals are invited to present at the organization's monthly meetings. She had speakers lined up for every meeting before the school year even began. Nick Fessler, UCM's ASA Faculty Advisor, described her as 'very energetic.' As ASA President, she has scheduled more meetings, speakers, and business tours than any other in that position."

Brooke will be graduating in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Accountancy, and plans to pursue a Masters of Accountancy at UCM. Her summer plans include an internship at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
