Reason
for Nomination: DJaqui was nominated by Phyllis Moore, Director of the 150 Hour and Master of Accountancy Programs
at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Phyllis stated, " I selected DJaqui Johnson for the MSCPA Student of the Month
because of her outstanding leadership, strong academic performance, and her commitment to the School of Accountancy and the
Trulaske College of Business. She has excelled in all areas of her college life, has been very active on campus, and
in our college. In addition to her accounting degrees, DJaqui will also receive a minor in Spanish. Her leadership is evident
by being selected for the Cornell Leadership Program, a highly selective, competitive program for the top students in the
business school. DJaqui has served as a mentor, a tutor, and receives numerous scholarships. She has made the Dean's List
every semester. Based on her strong communication skills and academic performance, DJaqui was selected to be a teaching assistant
for an introductory accounting course this year. She will graduate May 2013, and has accepted a full-time position with KPMG
in Houston, Texas. DJaqui is a role model for all students, and very deserving of this recognition as the MSCPA Student of
the Month for March 2013."
