$1,000 to $1,250. Additional funds have been set aside to be disbursed at the discretion of a panel of judges. The
judges are CPAs and MSCPA members. Their decisions will be based on the essay question answer and the educator's recommendation.
Applications will be accepted from October 2011 through February 29, 2012. The winners will be announced in May 2012.
Links to the online applications can be found under each scholarship category.
IMPORTANT
INFORMATION FOR ALL APPLICANTS!
Tips for a successful application:
- Read all eligibility and rules information pertaining to the scholarship you are applying
for. (All are listed below.)
- Write down your email and password when setting up your application in the ScholarSelect
site. (You will need it every time you sign in.);
- Do
not create duplicate applications within the ScholarSelect site. (Each scholarship applicant is allotted one application.
Duplicate applications may cause you not to be considered for the scholarship. For example, you start one and only partially
complete it. This app will be considered "pending." Then you start another one, and complete it. This
application is now considered "submitted.") Note: students who qualify for the minority college student scholarship
do not need to fill out an additional application for college student.;
- The application will ask for your MSCPA user id number. (All student members are supplied
this information in his/her "welcome" email. If you've misplaced or forgotten it, please contact Lou Simpson, lsimpson@mocpa.org );
- Print off a copy of the application. (It will be easier to fill it out all at once,
which ensures your application will receive the "submitted" message. Simply copy it, and paste it into a Word document.)
